Who Am I

I'm a former military survival instructor with years of experience training soldiers, adventurers, and specialists in some of the world’s most unforgiving environments. From Arctic tundras to dense jungles and high-altitude mountains, I’ve lived what I teach, not from books, but from real-world survival.

After years of operating globally, I chose Madeira as the basecamp for something different, a place where the cliffs meet the clouds, and where the skills of survival aren’t just useful, they’re transformative.

I founded the Madeira Survival School not just to teach fire-starting or navigation, but to reconnect people with something deeper, their instinct, their grit, their ability to adapt and overcome. Whether you're a weekend hiker or preparing for serious expeditions, you’ll leave here not just with skills, but with the mindset that survival is about more than gear. It's about guts, growth, and getting uncomfortable.

This isn’t a tourist gimmick. Nothing is staged. What I teach isn’t rehearsed, it’s real, and I demonstrate it in real time. You’ll see skills applied under pressure, in the same unpredictable conditions you might one day face yourself. No scripts. No shortcuts. Just honest, raw survival , exactly how it’s meant to be learned.
